Everything left outdoors in the village becomes a snowcatcher. There are boats and boat motors, bathtubs and old tires, old cars and ladders, all full of snow or buried under twenty inches of powder.
At first, I was appalled by the lack of concern my neighbors show for their possessions. Doesn’t something go terribly wrong with uncovered motors left out all winter??? Apparently not. Well, if my friends aren’t concerned, I’m not losing sleep over them.
I like the way willow twigs transform into hoary caribou antlers and rungs on a ladder become bearded smiley faces.
Snow does such funny things!
