Of Mice and Moss

Taken at 1 pm. Click on the image to enlarge and you can see that frost rims the leaves.

When the moss is deep and spongy as it is here, mice tunnel beneath it, perhaps for bugs or roots.

We found moss growning on wood, like in this picture, and even on metal sheets.
