The top layer of snow has turned to a sheath of ice in many places. I snapped a few images down by the river this weekend. Not sure if I like the color or the black and white better.

    1. Well then, I’ll just have to keep shooting more til I get something we both like even more. 🙂 But I’d better hurry because the ice isn’t going to be around much longer.

          1. hehehehe. Now tell the midnight sun it must wake up. I can’t be the only one that’s up. 😆

  1. Beautiful! I don’t know which I prefer either – perhaps the b&w because you can see so much texture. It almost reminds me of a coastline seen from space!

    1. Somebody else mentioned that. I went high contrast on it – the scene didn’t look that way at all but I wanted the ice to show lots of detail.

    1. It is visibly clearer and bluer than in Texas where I grew up and spent most of my life. The air smells clean and looks clean. I did not raise the saturation level at all, but I darkened the sky a bit. It actually does look similar to this on many days.
