Ice Road

life in a village, northern exposures

ice-road-0042Snow-go tracks disappear across the frozen Yukon. When I walk out there I stay on the tracks for safety. We have had quite a lot of wind lately, and you can see how it has sculpted the top of the snowpack and ice. Carnival begins next week and the icy will become the venue for dog races and games. Late April, early May will bring to an end Winter’s icy grip and grant release to our river.

    1. Hey, Bente, always good to hear from you, my friend. I have much catching up to do, with you and other bloggers I follow. This week I should be able to visit you again.

    1. You know, I’m challenged to find scenes that look different because everything is so flat! I can’t wait to get onto the river this summer and cruise upstream a bit.
