On the Passing Of the Year

poetry

White Mountain foothills, south of Fort Yukon

On the Passing Of the Year

Your days are done, old friend,
The dreams we shared,
Boldly dared
Have fled;
Emergent hopes
My feet now tread.

On Looking Forward

Quite elementary for the young;
Easier said
(Once age to life is wed)
Than done.
